Brittany Carter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth approach.
Having grown up with a disabled brother with cerebral palsy, she saw very early on in life how inequalities, struggles, and emotions affect us day to day. She decided to pursue a degree in social work with a concentration in family and child services in order to help individuals find purpose and healing with the Lord’s help.
Brittany graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Masters in Social Work in 2012. She earned her full licensure in 2016 as a LCSW. Her specialties include strengths-based therapy for adults, children, and families utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
Brittany has over 14 years experience serving children, adults, families, as a community mental health therapist, school-based therapist in elementary, middle, and high schools in Cobb Co., and hospice social worker.
She fully believes that no matter what you have experienced, hope is a catalyst for success and growth. Sometimes we have to begin with an ounce of hope and go from there! Working through our maladaptive thinking and habits (often established in childhood and/or traumatic experiences), leads to renewed perspectives and fulfillment. Your story matters but it is NOT the final ending!
When Brittany is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She has a soft spot for the homeschool community as her children are homeschooled. Her hobbies include singing (just for fun, not professionally!), traveling, and taking care of the family pets.

“Neuroscience research shows that the only way we can change the way we feel is by becoming aware of our inner experience and learning to befriend what is going inside ourselves.”
